Lenin A Bassett Sr. is the Founding Pastor of Fresh Anointing Faith Church, located in Maywood, Illinois. He was baptized in Jesus Name at the age of seven years old, at Bethlehem Healing Temple, located in Chicago, Illinois. There he was trained and taught in the Apostolic Faith. Pastor Bassett attended Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois and later went to Triton College in River Grove, Illinois.

Early in his life he tried his hand in the street life he was thirteen (13) years old when he left the church, he returned at the age of twenty one (21).

Pastor Bassett served his country in the United States Marines. At the end of his service, he received Jesus as his personal Savior and was filled with the Holy Spirit by evidence of speaking in tongue as the Spirit of God gave utterance. Pastor Bassett started a Janitorial business with a partner, it was successful for several years but he dissolved it to work full time for steady income to support his growing family.  Pastor Bassett worked for Chicago Transit Authority as a Bus Operator for 28 years he retired February 2014.

Following his discharge from the Service, Pastor Bassett went back to his home church where he spent the next eighteen (18) years under the tutelage and leadership of Bishop Charles E. Poole and Bishop Arsenior C. Richards. He headed several departments including New Members Class, Ushers and Baptism Committee. Pastor Bassett was ordained in 1991 and was promoted to Associate Minister he also held the position as the Assistant National Youth Chairman of the Living Witnesses of the Apostolic Faith Inc.

Pastor Bassett is passionate in preaching and teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He believes the word of God is enough to transform a life on a higher plane until the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s return. 

Pastor Bassett has been happily married to Patricia Bassett since 1982 they have eight (8) children: Andre, Lenin II, LaRue, Joseph, Akindele, Omari, Sarafina, and Fatima.
